We have an increasing demand for a wide range of BNG lot sizes, ranging 0.01 up to 220+ units and everything in between. As of the 10th September 2025, the average lot size we see needed is 16.043 units, and is for the following habitat type units –

- Lowland Mixed Deciduous Woodland
- Mixed Scrub
- Native Hedgerow
- Open Mosaic Habitat on Previously Developed Land
- Other Neutral Grassland
- Other Rivers and Streams
- Other Woodland; Broadleaved
- Pond (Priority Habitat)
- Rural Trees
- Native Species Rich Hedgerow
- Traditional Orchards
- Urban Trees
The trading rules mean that 58% of all BNG habitat types can used to compensate for most of this demand. If you are unsure whether you can sell your units to our purchasers, we are happy to help you check this.
We are finding that, in the current market conditions, the chances of any one of our purchasers needing units from a particular Broad habitat type is as follows –
- 75% – Grassland
- 34.38% – Heathland and Shrub
- 31.25% – Individual Trees
- 18.75% – Hedgerow
- 12.50% – Watercourse
- 12.50% – Woodland and Forest
- 3.13% – Sparsely Vegetated Land
- 3.13% – Urban
e.g. 75% of our purchasers will need some Grassland.
