To celebrate Christmas and the New Year Townsend Chartered Surveyors is offering a prize for anyone with a farm building they would like to convert for residential use. If you win this draw, we will assist you in preparing and submitting a Class Q planning application for your building for free up to submission.
HOW TO ENTER
To qualify for any of the prizes you will need to email us your name, address and telephone number, plus the address and postcode of the building you wish to obtain planning on. Emailed applications should be sent to kdean@townsendcharteredsurveyors.co.uk , headed “Christmas Draw 2020” and should be received by no later than the 21st December. By entering this draw you are confirming you wish to be added to our mailing list for our newsletters by email and post (you can unsubscribe at any time). Results of the draw will be announced in the New Year. Entries will not qualify for any prizes unless they are prepared to proceed with a Class Q application

Free Prize Draw Terms and Conditions
1. By entering the prize draw you are agreeing to these prize draw terms and conditions.
2. The prize draw is being run by Townsend Chartered Surveyors (TCS).
Eligibility to enter
3. The prize draw is open to entrants over 18 years of age and who own/rent a building (or buildings) suitable for conversion (TCS staff members are excluded from the draw).
4. Townsend Chartered Surveyors reserve the right if, in their opinion and their opinion alone, the application is likely not to be successful, the entry will be disqualified and the prize will go to the second entrant drawn.
5. In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so (we may contact you to confirm this) and eligible to claim any prize you may win.
6. A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted.
7. The prize draw is free to enter.
How to enter
8. The prize draw will include those who email us to confirm they wish to subscribe to our newsletter, and who provide the requested entry information to us by email no later than 21st December 2020 . Entries after that date will not be included in the draw.
9. To enter the prize draw simply email us to subscribe to our newsletter mailing list at kdean@townsendcharteredsureyors.co.uk providing your name, address and telephone number, and the address and postcode of the building you wish to obtain Class Q planning for.
10. TCS will not accept responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete or inaccurate.
The prizes
11. The prizes will be:
1st: Free Class Q Planning advice up to submission of an application
2nd: Bottle of Champagne
3rd: Bottle of Famous Grouse
4th: Box of chocolates
12. TCSs use of particular brands as prizes does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of such brands.
13. The winners will be drawn at random.
14. The first prize does not include the LPA planning application fees, a site visit, sundry expenses, the costs of plans and drawings, any other reports required for planning purposes, post-application advice including appeals, valuations, applications, and other non-planning advice, including grant funding and tax.
15. Townsend Chartered Surveyors cannot guarantee a successful planning application and cannot be held responsible should the application fail. The advice will be made available by Townsend Chartered Surveyors at a timing to be at the total discretion of Townsend Chartered Surveyors during 2021.
16. The prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
17. We reserve the right to substitute prizes with another prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.
18. The decision of TCS regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
Winner announcement
19. The winner will be notified after 1st January 2021 via the email provided during subscription.
20. TCS will attempt to contact the winner by email and telephone up to three times.
21. If the winner does not respond to the emails notifying them of their win within 14 days of the second email, they will lose their right to the prize, and TCS reserves the right to choose and notify a new winner.
Receipt of the prize(s):
22. Please allow 14 days for delivery of the 2nd, 3rd or 4th prizes or alternative collection or delivery arrangements may be made through mutual agreement.
Data protection and publicity
23. You consent to any personal information you provide in entering the prize draw being used by TCS for the purposes of administering the prize draw, and for those purposes as defined within our privacy notice.
24. All entrants may apply for details of the winning participant by contacting us at office@townsendcharteredsureyors.co.uk
25. The winner agrees to the release of their first name and place of work to any other prize draw participants if requested via TCS.
26. An announcement of the winners first name and place of work will be made via TCS website.
27. All personal information shall be used in accordance with TCSs Privacy Notice.
Limitation of Liability
28. TCS does not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of either participating in the prize draw or being selected for a prize, save that TCS does not exclude its liability for death or personal injury as a result of its own negligence.
29. TCS does not provide any form of practical or IT support for this prize. On receipt, all responsibilities relating to warranty and the product are that of the prize winner.
General
30. TCS reserves the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.
31. The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
